Antibody against β actin

Manufactured by Boster Bio
Sourced in China

The Antibody against β-actin is a laboratory reagent used to detect and quantify the presence of the β-actin protein in biological samples. β-actin is a ubiquitous and highly expressed cytoskeletal protein found in all eukaryotic cells. This antibody can be used in various analytical techniques, such as Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and immunocytochemistry, to identify and measure the levels of β-actin in a sample.

Protein Expression Analysis in PC12 Cells

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
The PC12 cells were stimulated for equivalent periods of time and lysed in extraction buffer (10 mM Tris [pH 7.4], 150 mM NaCl, 1% Triton X-100, 5 mM EDTA [pH 8.0]). The protein samples were separated by SDS-PAGE (10%) and electro-transferred onto a nitrocellulose (NC) membrane (Boster Biotechnology Co., Ltd., China). Protein expression was evaluated using antibodies against P53, Bax, Bcl-2, NGFR and α-syn (Boster Biotechnology Co., Ltd., China). The blots were incubated with the appropriate secondary antibodies conjugated to alkaline phosphatase (AP) peroxidase (Boster Biological Technology Co., Ltd., China). The protein levels were normalized by re-probing the blots with antibody against β-actin (Boster Biological Technology Co., Ltd., China) as shown in Figure 2e,f.

The HXO-RB44 cells were first seeded onto 6-well plates (106 cells/well) and then treated with MBT at 0, 1, 10, and 20 μM for 24 h. Total cell lysates were obtained after treatment with RIPA buffer and protease inhibitors. The protein concentrations were determined by Bradford protein assay (BioRad Lab., USA). Approximately 75 μg of lysate was resolved on 12% SDS-PAGE, electrotransferred to PVDF membranes (Dingguo, China), and then incubated with specific primary rabbit polyclonal antibodies to cyclin B1, p27, and caspase-3 at 4°C overnight. About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
