Total RNA Extraction from Plant Leaves

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Leaves from three 2-week old plants plant or five spikelets from independent plants were ground in liquid nitrogen and total RNA was extracted from 0.1 g of the resulting powder using TRIzol® (Invitrogen, Life Technologies SAS, Saint-Aubin, France) followed by an RNase-free DNase I step (Ambion®, Applied Biosystems, Courtaboeuf, France) according to manufacturers’ instructions. Total RNA was further purified using the NucleoSpin RNA Clean-up XS kit (Macherey-Nagel, Hoerdt, France).

RNA Extraction from Plant Tissues

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Leaves, roots and spikes from 4-week-old independent plants or from infected spikes were ground in liquid nitrogen, and total RNA was extracted from 0.1 g of the resulting powder using Trizol (Invitrogen, Life Tech) followed by an RNase-free DNAse I step (Ambion, applied Biosystems) according to the manufacturers' instructions. cDNA synthesis was performed on 1 μg of total RNA using the ImProm-II reverse transcription system (Promega). The product was diluted 10 times in nuclease-free water.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
