Nkg2d blocking antibody clone 1d11

Manufactured by BioLegend
Sourced in United States

The NKG2D blocking antibody (clone 1D11) is a laboratory reagent used to inhibit the interaction between the NKG2D receptor and its ligands. NKG2D is an activating receptor expressed on the surface of natural killer (NK) cells, CD8+ T cells, and other immune cells. The antibody binds to NKG2D, blocking its ability to recognize and bind to its ligands, thus modulating immune cell function.

Cytotoxic Activity of NK-92/CAR and NK-92 Cells

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
The cytotoxic activity of NK-92/CAR and parental NK-92 cells was assessed in a standard 4h 51Cr-release assay. In brief, effector cells were incubated with 2 × 103 51Cr-labeled PC3-PSMA, PC3, LNCaP, and K562 cells at various E/T ratios in triplicate wells of 96-well round-bottom plates, with or without a NKG2D blocking antibody (clone 1D11; Biolegend). Antibody was added to the effector cells at a concentration of 50 μg/mL, and incubated for 1 h at 37 °C prior to the addition of the targets. The cytotoxic activity of NK-92/CAR and parental NK-92 cells was evaluated before and after irradiation. The percentage of specific 51Cr release into the supernatant was assessed as previously described [21 (link)].

NKG2D Blocking Antibody Assay

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
NKG2D blocking antibody (clone 1D11) and mouse IgG1κ isotype control antibody were purchased from BioLegend (San Diego, CA, USA). T cells and NK cells were incubated with the blocking antibody (5 μg/mL) for 30 min at room temperature. The blocking and isotype control antibodies were maintained at 5 μg/mL in the killing assay medium.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
