Quantitative Assessment of Sacroiliac Joint Fat Fraction

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
The IDEAL-IQ images were transferred to a GE Advantage Windows 4.6 workstation (GE Healthcare). Two radiologists with 5 and 8 years of experience in musculoskeletal system imaging read the films without knowledge of the clinical situations or grouping of the patients. The region of interest (ROI) was manually selected by the same radiologist. The standard MRI sequences were interpreted before IDEAL-IQ. The fat fraction (FF) was automatically generated by the viewer function on the workstation. The ROI on the FF sequence was selected according to conventional MRI sequences, and the ROIs were manually identified on the iliac side and sacral side with the same area (three regions) and same size on both SIJs. The FF of the iliac side was recorded as Fi, while that of the sacral side was recorded as Fs. These ROIs were adjacent to cortical bone and had a mean area of 27 mm2 (range, 15–30 mm2). The data on three consecutive sections were obtained and then averaged as the final result for subsequent analyses.

Tumor Heterogeneity Assessment Using CT Imaging

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
The images were jointly analyzed by two radiologists who had worked for 8 and 6 years on the GE Advantage Windows 4.6 workstation (General Electric Inc., Boston, MA, USA). The largest slice of the tumor was selected for the measurement of CTH, and the circular or oval region of interest (ROI) was used as large as possible (7 (link), 12 (link)). The histogram analysis software was used to depict the CT value distribution curve in ROI. The X-axis represents the distribution range of CT value in ROI, and the Y-axis represents the frequency of each CT value. The software automatically obtained the percentage of negative pixels in ROI. In the present study, AVmean and AVmin were measured by a 4-point method, that is, the maximum transverse diameter and the longitudinal diameter were made on the maximum axial plane of the tumor to obtain the intersection point, the midpoint from the intersection point to the edge of the tumor was taken as the measurement point, and the ROI was 19 ~ 24 mm² (11 (link)) (Figures 25). When each ROI was selecting, it was attempted to avoid necrotic, hemorrhagic, and calcified areas. All measurements were made in triplicate, and the average value was calculated as the final value.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
