Human hair was purchased from local barber shops in Chongqing, China. Porcine gastric mucin (PGM) was purchased from Sigma-Aldrich. (UK). N-ethylmaleimide (NEM) was purchased from Macklin Biochemical Co. Ltd. (Shanghai, China). Urea, Tween 20, Thioglycolic acid (TGA) and glacial acetic acid were purchased from Kelong Chemical Reagent Co. Ltd. (Chengdu, China). Amoxicillin sodium (AMO) was supplied by the Tuochukangyuan Pharm & Chem Co., Ltd. (Hubei, China). All other materials and reagents used in this study were analytical grade.

Human Hair Extraction and Analysis

Materials: Human hair was collected from local hair salons in Chongqing, China.
Sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS), thioglycolic acid (TGA), hydrochloric acid and sodium hydroxide were purchased from Kelong Chemical reagent Co., Ltd. (Chengdu, China).
Amicon ultra-filtration centrifuge tubes (10, 30, 50, and 100 kDa) were purchased from Millipore Corporation (Bedford, USA). Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) kits were purchased from the Neobioscience Technology Company (Beijing, China). Other reagents used in this study were of analytical grade.
