HPLC grade acetonitrile (CH 3 CN) (99%; LabScan; Dublin, Ireland), ultrapure water (Milli-Q Waters purification system; Millipore; Milford, MA, USA), and formic acid (analytical reagent grade; Sigma-Aldrich; St. Louis, MO, USA), were used in the LC-MS analysis.
