Multimodal MRI Study of Brain Structures

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Each participant underwent multimodal MRI utilizing the same 3 Tesla Siemens Verio Syngo scanner running version MR B17. Sequences administered included a T1- weighted MPRAGE, T2-weighted, fluid attenuated inversion recovery (FLAIR), susceptibility weighted imaging (SWI), diffusion tensor imaging (DTI), blood oxygenation level dependent (BOLD) resting state and task-related functional imaging, and chemical shift imaging (CSI) spectroscopy. For this report, only the volumetric T1- weighted sequence (1 mm3 isotropic voxels) acquired utilizing a 32-channel head coil was examined (sequence parameters: field of view (FOV) = 256 mm, repetition time (TR) = 2300 ms, echo time (TE) = 2.98 ms, flip angle = 9°, and a slice thickness = 1 mm). Scan time was approximately 9:50.

Multimodal Brain Imaging Protocol

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Multimodal neuroimaging assessments were collected on a single 3T Siemens Verio Syngo scanner with 32-channel head coil. MRI and cognitive assessments were collected concurrently (same week, mode=1 day). T1-weighted and DTI sequences were analyzed in the current study.
The T1-weighted sequence was acquired with the following parameters: field of view (FOV)=256 mm, repetition time (TR)=2300 ms, echo time (TE)=2.98 ms, flip angle=9°, and slice thickness=1 mm. The DTI sequence was collected using a clinical TBI protocol with the following acquisition parameters: 64 noncollinear directions, baseline acquisition sequences at b=0 s/mm with diffusion-weighting sequences at b=1000 s/mm, 1.8 x 1.8mm in-plane resolution with slice thickness of 4mm, TR=6300 ms, TE=96 ms, FOV=203 mm. T1-weighted data were available from 156 participants and DTI data were available from 144 participants.

Neuroimaging of Pre-Chemotherapy Brain

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Study participants underwent a 3T brain fMRI scan using the same MRI scanner (3T Siemens Magnetom Verio Syngo, located at the Imaging Centre at the University of Edinburgh), at a single time point prior to starting chemotherapy. The following data were acquired; a T1-weighted MPRAGE sequence to assess brain structure; a T2*weighted gradient echo sequence for blood oxygen level dependent (BOLD) functional activity. For full details of scan parameters see eTable 3 (supplementary material online only).

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
