A U-plex multiplex assay (Meso Scale Discovery (MSD), Germany) covering 20 cytokines and chemokines (IL-10, IL-18, IL-12p70, IP-10, IFN-γ, IL-6, TNF-α, IL-2Rα, IL-2, GM-CSF, MIP-1α, IL-13, IL-15, M-CSF, IFN-β, IL-4, IL-1α, IL-8, IFN-α2a, IL-1β) was customized. The U-plex assay was performed according to instructions and detected on an MSD instrument. For measurements of IL-10, IL-18, IL-2Ra in the plasma samples of EBV-LPD patients collected after treatment (EBV-LPD-HLH remission group, N = 13) and the control healthy donors (N = 5), Human IL-10 ELISA kit (EHC009.96, NeoBioscience, Shenzhen, China), Human IL-18 ELISA kit (EHC127.96, NeoBioscience, Shenzhen, China), and Human IL-2Ra ELISA kit (EHC004r.96, NeoBioscience, Shenzhen, China) were used.
