Diagnosis of MDS and sAML with myelodysplasia related changes was performed according to the diagnostic criteria of the World Health Organization (WHO) classification of Tumors of Hematopoietic and Lymphoid tissues, fourth edition 2017 [57 ]. To confirm the diagnosis of MDS and sAML, conventional histological and cytological examination as well as immunohistochemistry (IHC) was performed.
