Doxorubicin hydrochloride (DOX·HCl) was purchased from LC Laboratories, MA, USA [35 (link)]. 4-Vinylbenzyl chloride, 4-cyano-4-[(dodecylsulfanylthiocarbonyl) sulfanyl] pentanoic acid, 2-azobis(isobutyronitrile) (AIBN), N, N-diisopropylethylamine, metformin hydrochloride, monomethoxy PEG2K, branched and linear polyethyleneimine (PEI, MW = 25 kDa), dulbecco’s modified eagle’s medium (DMEM), trypsin-EDTA solution, 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyl tetrazolium bromide (MTT), triton X-100, hoechst 33342, lysotracker Green DND-26, FAM-labeled siRNA and AF647-labeled siRNA were all purchased from Sigma-Aldrich, MO, USA. Penicillin-streptomycin solution and fetal bovine serum (FBS) were purchased from Invitrogen Life Technologies (Gaithersburg, MD, USA). 4-Vinylbenzylamine, 2-propionic-3-methylmaleic anhydride (cdm) were obtained from TCI, PA, USA. All other reagents were of analytical or chromatographic grade.
EGFP expression plasmid (pEGFP) and luciferase expression plasmid (pLuc) were propagated in competent Escherichia coli DH5α cells. pIL-12 and control pDNA were kindly provided by Dr. Shulin Li at MD Anderson Cancer Center, USA. All endotoxin-free plasmids were prepared using the endotoxin free Plasmid Maxiprep Kit according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

Synthesis of MIP@MOF Sorbent for Diazinon

To synthesize of MIP@MOF nano-composite as a sorbent, ethylene glycol demethacrylate (EGDMA; 98.0%), 2-azobisisobutyronitrile (AIBN; 98.0%), terephthalic acid (H2BDC; 97.0%), ferric chloride hexahydrate (FeCl3·6H2O), dimethylformamide (DMF; 99.8%), methacrylate acid (MA; 99%), acetonitrile (99.8%), methanol (99.8%) and acetic acid, toluene (99.0%), and acetone (99.0%) were purchased from Sigma Aldrich and used without any purification. Also, diazinon (60.0%) was purchased from Merck Co (Darmstadt, Germany). Nitrogen with high purity (99.99%) was obtained from Roham Co (Tehran, Iran). XAD-2 sorbent tubes (270 : 140 weight ratio) were purchased from SKC.

Synthesis of Thermoresponsive Polymers

N-Isopropylacrylamide (NIPAAm), 3-trimethoxysilypropyl methacrylate (TMSPM), hydroxypropyl methacrylate (HPM), N-vinyl pyrrolidone (NVP) and 2-azobisisobutyronitrile (AIBN), absolute ethanol, acetone, n-hexane and tetrahydrofuran (THF) were supplied by Sigma. NIPAAm and AIBN were fully recrystallized from n-hexane and absolute ethanol, respectively, and then lyophilized using freeze dryer. Other reagents were used as received.
