Rat GAS6 recombinant protein (RPA204Ra01) was purchased from Cloud-clone Corp. Antibodies for immunoblotting, including DAPK, p-DAPK (S308), CIP2A, AKT, MYC, Survivin and Actin, were purchased from Santa Cruz Biotechnology (San Diego, CA). ERK1/2, p-ERK1 (T202/Y204) / ERK2 (T185/Y187), and p-AXL (Y779) were purchased from R&D Systems (St. Paul, MN, USA). Other antibodies, including anti-PP2A and p-AKT (Ser473), were purchased from Cell Signaling (Danvers, MA).

Afatinib (Giotrif®) was purchased from Selleck chemicals (Houston, TX). For in vitro studies, afatinib at various concentrations was dissolved in DMSO and then added to cells in serum-free RPMI1640. PP2A inhibitor and activator were purchased from Sigma (Sigma-Aldrich, St. Louis, Missouri) and Merck Millipore (Billerica, MA), respectively. Antibodies for immunoblotting including anti-CIP2A, AKT, Elk-1 and PARP were purchased from Santa Cruz Biotechnology (San Diego, CA). CS from shark cartilage was purchased from Jiaxing Hengjie Biopharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (Jiaxing, China). CS (Mw = 4.2 kDa) used in this paper was prepared in our laboratory [15 (link)]. LiCl was purchased from Aladdin Biochemical Technology Co., Ltd. (Shanghai, China). Cation-exchange resin and ultrafiltration membrane with MWCO of 1000 Da and 5000 Da were from Sangon Biotech Co., Ltd. (Shanghai, China). The amyloid-β (1-42) peptide was purchased from GL Biochem Ltd. (Shanghai, China). AchE, ChAT, and Na⁺/K⁺-ATPase assay kits were obtained from Nanjing Jiancheng Bioengineering Institute (Nanjing, China). GSH-Px and MDA assay kits were obtained from Beyotime Institute of Biotechnology (Jiangsu, China). Rabbit anti-TNF-α, anti-IL-6, anti-IL-1β, anti-p-p38MAPK, anti-p-Erk1/2, anti-p-NF-κB, anti-p-GSK3β (Ser9), and anti-PP2A antibodies were purchased from Cell Signaling Technology Inc. (Danvers, MA).
