Dietary Intervention and Liraglutide Effects

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
10–12-week-old control and LivFgf21−/− mice were placed on a low fat, low carbohydrate or low fat, high carbohydrate diet (D08091802 or D12450J, Research Diets, Inc., respectively) for 4 weeks or a high fat, high sugar diet (D12451, Research Diets, Inc.) for 4 weeks or 1 week. Mice were randomly assigned to receive vehicle (0.9% saline) or liraglutide (200 μg/kg b.i.d.) for 14 days while being maintained on their respective diet. Some mice were dosed with liraglutide following feeding on a 60% high fat, low carbohydrate diet (D12492, Research Diets, Inc.) for 4 weeks starting at 10–12 weeks of age. Body weight was measured daily. Body composition was measured at the start and end of the treatment period.

Evaluating the Effects of Cocaine, Alcohol, and Caffeine on Obesity

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Cocaine hydrochloride was obtained from the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) Drug Supply Program (Bethesda, MD, USA). Alcohol and caffeine were obtained from Sigma-Aldrich (St. Louis, MO, USA). Obesogenic diets were obtained from Research Diets, Inc. (New Brunswick, NJ, USA). We used the following diets from Research Diets: #D12451 (high fat and high sugar), #D12492 (high fat), #D02022703 (high sugar) and #D08091802 (high protein).

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
