B6 c h2d bbyj b6 h2d mice

Manufactured by Jackson ImmunoResearch

B6.C-H2d/bByJ (B6.H2d) mice are a strain of laboratory mice that express the H-2d major histocompatibility complex (MHC) haplotype on a C57BL/6J (B6) genetic background. These mice are commonly used as a model system for immunological studies.

Mice were housed in the Center for Comparative Physiology at the Feinstein Institutes for Medical Research. C57BL/6 (B6) and B6.C-H2d/bByJ (B6.H2d) mice were purchased from The Jackson Laboratory. RAGE KO mice were a generous gift from Kevin Tracey, MD, of the Feinstein Institutes for Medical Research. LAIR-1 cKO mice were generated by crossing B6.129P2-Lyz2tm1(cre)Ifo/J with B6.Cg-Lair1tm1Jco/J (The Jackson Laboratory) after backcrossing onto the B6.H2d background. B6.Cg-Tg(Camk2a-cre)T29–1Stl/J and Hmgb1tm1.1Rshw/J (Jackson Laboratories) were crossed with in house B6.H2d mice to generate Camk2a-cre HMGB1fl/fl B6.H2d mice. All procedures using mice were conducted using protocols approved by The Feinstein Institutes of Medical Research IACUC (Protocols 2009–048 and 2022–023).

B6.C-H2d/bByJ (B6.H2d) mice (Cat# 000359) (44 ) and B6(Cg)-C1qatm1d(EUCOMM)Wtsi/TennJ (C1qa−/−) mice (Cat# 031675) (22 (link)) originated from the Jackson Laboratory. B6-background mice were bred with B6.H2d mice and progeny were crossed to produce mice with homozygous expression of H2d MHC antigens for use in experiments (6 (link)). B6.ConKd-on and B6.Tg(CD2-Tcra,-Tcrb)75Bucy (TCR75) mice were provided by J. Zimring (21 (link), 45 (link)). BALB/c mice were from Charles River Laboratories (Cat# 028). B6;SJL-Tg(FCGR2A)11Mkz/J mice (expressing human FCGR2A isoform R131, Jackson Laboratory Cat# 003542) (27 ) were backcrossed to B6 congenicity (46 (link)). Male mice were used as female mice are not susceptible to 34-1-2S-mediated injury (5 (link)). Mice were studied at 8-16 weeks of age after maintenance in the UCSF specific pathogen-free animal facility for at least 2 weeks. Procedures received ethical approval from the UCSF IACUC committee.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
