The mineral salt medium (MSM) was composed of 0.5 g/L (NH4)2SO4, 1.5 g/L KH2PO4, 3.5 g/L K2HPO4, 0.15 g/L MgSO4·7H2O, 0.5 g/L NaCl and 1.0 mL/L trace elements. In addition, the trace elements used in this study contained NaHCO3·10H2O 2.0 g/L, MnSO4·4H2O 0.3 g/L, ZnSO4·7H2O 0.2 g/L, (NH4)6Mo7O2·4H2O 0.02 g/L, CuSO4·5H2O 0.1 g/L, CoCl2·6H2O 0.5 g/L, CaCl2·2H2O 0.05 g/L, FeSO4·7H2O 0.5 g/L. Luria-Bertani medium (LB) was also used: Tryptone 10 g/L, Yeast extract 5 g/L, NaCl 10 g/L. All media were adjusted to 7.0 ± 0.2 using NaOH/HCl. For solid media, 15 g agar was added per liter. All media were sterilized at 120 °C for 20 min before use.

About PubCompare
Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.
We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.
However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
