Ldh assay kit

Manufactured by Bioss Antibodies
Sourced in United States

The LDH assay kit is a laboratory reagent used to quantitatively measure the activity of the enzyme lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) in biological samples. LDH is an important enzyme involved in cellular metabolism and its levels can provide information about various physiological and pathological conditions.

LDH Cytotoxicity Assay Protocol

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
The cytotoxicity in damaged cells was assessed by using a lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) assay kit (Bioss, Woburn, MA, USA, AK140). According to the standardized method, we extracted crude enzyme solutions from cells and tissues and sequentially added the reagents. We tested the optical density at 450 OD and calculated the LDH concentration of the samples using the standard curve. The related formulae of LDH activity are as follows: (1) Tissues: LDH (U/g) = 66.67 × LDH concentration (mol/mL)/weight(g); (2) Cells: LDH (U/104 cell) = 0.133 × LDH concentration (mol/mL).

Cytotoxicity and Cardiac Damage Evaluation

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
The cells were tested using an LDH Assay Kit (AK141; BIOSS) and the cells and mouse cardiac tissue were tested using an CK-MB ELISA Kit (H191-1-1; Nanjing Jiancheng Bioengineering Institute) according to the manufacturers' instructions. Finally, the absorbance was measured at a wavelength of 450 nm using a microplate reader (Mindray Medical International, Ltd.) (27 (link)).

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
