Cell Proliferation Assay Protocol

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Cell proliferation experiments were performed using Cell Titer 96 Aqueous One Solution Cell Proliferation Assay System (Promega, Madison, WI, USA). Briefly, cells were plated in quadruplicate on clear, flat-bottomed 96-well tissue culture treated plates (Corning Costar) and treated with drugs at 37 °C, 5% CO2. After incubation, MTS reagent was added directly to the wells and incubated for 90 min at 37 °C, 5% CO2. The absorbance of MTS formazan was immediately read at 490 nm (Omega 640 spectrophotometer, (BMG Labtech, Cary, NC, USA). A blank measurement was taken from the absorbance of the wells with media only and subtracted accordingly. Percentage cell viability was normalized to the absorbance of untreated wells and averaged from the four wells. The data were analyzed with GraphPad Prism 8 software (San Deigo, CA, USA) and represented as percent (%) cell growth relative to control.

Cell proliferation experiments were performed using Cell Titer 96 Aqueous One Solution Cell Proliferation Assay System (Promega, Madison, WI, USA). Briefly, cells were plated in quadruplicate on clear, flat-bottomed 96-well tissue culture plates (Corning Costar) and treated with 0.1 to 50 μM concentrations of XL44. After incubation for 48 h, MTS reagent was added directly to the wells and incubated for 1.5 h. The absorbance of MTS formazan was read at 490 nm (Omega 640 spectrophotometer, BMG Labtech, Cary, NC, USA). A blank measurement was taken for the absorbance of the wells with media only and subtracted accordingly.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
