Oil red O solution, 3-isobutyl-1-methylxanthine, dexamethasone, insulin, betanin, rutin and kaempferol were obtained from Sigma (St. Louis, MO, USA). The dye MTT (3-[4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl]-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide) was purchased from PanReac AppliChem (Darmstadt, Germany). Dulbecco’s modified Eagle’s medium (DMEM), Trypsin-EDTA, penicillin-streptomycin, bovine calf serum, and fetal bovine serum were purchased from Gibco (Grand Island, NY, USA). Anti-PPARγ and anti-β-actin were purchased from Cell Signaling Technology (Danvers, MA, USA). All other chemicals were reagent grade.
