The Annexin V-FITC Apoptosis Detection Kit (C1062) is a laboratory product that is used to detect and quantify apoptosis, a type of programmed cell death. During apoptosis, PS is translocated from the inner to the outer leaflet of the plasma membrane, exposing it to the external cellular environment. The kit contains Annexin V conjugated with the fluorescent dye FITC, allowing for the detection of apoptotic cells by flow cytometry or fluorescence microscopy.
