Annexin 5 fitc staining

Manufactured by Thermo Fisher Scientific

Annexin V-FITC is a fluorescent dye used to detect and quantify apoptotic cells. It binds to phosphatidylserine, a phospholipid that is translocated to the outer leaflet of the cell membrane during apoptosis. The FITC (fluorescein isothiocyanate) label allows for the detection of bound Annexin V using flow cytometry or fluorescence microscopy.

Annexin V-FITC Apoptosis Assay

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Apoptosis was detected using Annexin V-FITC staining (Thermo Fisher Scientific, Inc.). Briefly, a total of 106 ES-2 and SKOV3 cells were washed with PBS and stained with 5 µl of Annexin V and 2 µl of PI for 15 min at 4˚C. Apoptosis cells were detected using a FACScan flow cytometer (BD Biosciences) and the data were analyzed by Cellquest Software version 3.3 (BD Biosciences).

Apoptosis Detection by Annexin V-FITC

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Detection of apoptotic cells by Annexin V-FITC staining was performed as recommended by the manufacturer (Thermo Fisher). Briefly, cells were cultured in 24-well plates were washed twice with PBS and stained with Annexin V-FITC for 10 min in the dark. Detection of Annexin V-FITC were performed with a fluorescence microscope after two washing steps with binding buffer.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
