Ambivalence in Food and Diet Behavior

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Our full search strategy (Appendix I) was developed with the assistance of the library services of the School of Medical Sciences at the University of Campinas. The search terms include free-text terms for ambivalence and a combination of headings and keywords for food and diet which were extracted from titles and abstracts of relevant articles identified during an initial limited search on MEDLINE (PubMed), CINAHL (EBSCO), and PsycINFO. Our search strategy, including all identified keywords and index terms, was then adapted for each database that will be included in this review. The reference lists of all included sources of evidence will be screened for additional studies.
We will include studies published (or available as preprints) in English, Portuguese, or French within any timeframe. Studies in other languages will not be included due to time and financial limitations on seeking translations.
The databases to be searched for peer-reviewed studies are MEDLINE (PubMed), PsycINFO, Web of Science, Food Science Source (EBSCO), FSTA (EBSCO), and CINAHL (EBSCO). PsyArXiv and MedArXiv will be searched for preprints.

Systematic Review of TKR Preoperative Interventions

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
The following electronic databases were searched on 11 September 2019: Medline (Ovid), Embase (Ovid), PsycINFO (Ovid), CINAHL (EBSCOhost) and the Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials (Cochrane Library). All the searches were subsequently updated to 31 December 2020. The searches were conducted by one reviewer (AMA) using subject headings and text words related to TKR, the pre-operative phase and relevant interventions (see Additional file 2 for full search strategies). All searches were limited to human studies published between January 2009 and December 2020. Searches were also limited to studies published in the English language where possible. Reference lists of all eligible studies were screened. In line with accepted rapid review streamlining approaches, gray literature was not searched [26 ].

Comprehensive Literature Search for Behavioral Economics

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
In accordance with MECIR standards, we will conduct a comprehensive literature search that includes large databases from the multi-disciplinary sciences and biomedical disciplines, specialist bibliographic databases to encompass the field of behavioural economics and databases with economic-specific evidence [36 ]. We will search the following databases from inception: MEDLINE (Ovid), Embase (Ovid), Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials (CENTRAL), the Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature (CINAHL) (EBSCO), Web of Science (Clarivate), Scopus (Elsevier), PsycINFO (Ovid), EconLit (EBSCO), SPORTDiscus (EBSCO) and National Health Service (NHS) Economic Evaluation Database. We will use a combination of free text and indexed terms combined with Boolean operators to search for relevant terms for the population, intervention and outcome components as defined above. We present the search strategy for MEDLINE (Ovid) in the Appendix. We will adapt this strategy for the remaining databases with the help of an academic librarian from the University of Melbourne. The strategy was developed based on terms used within other similar reviews and review protocols [16 (link), 41 ]. The search will be rerun prior to submission for publication and the results screened for potentially eligible new studies.

Migraine and Suicidal Ideation Associations

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Studies were identified by searching major electronic databases including PubMed, Embase (Elsevier), Web of Science (Thomson Reuters), PsycINFO (EBSCO), and Google Scholar. Controlled vocabulary terms (MeSH terms) were used when appropriate. The specific search criteria are presented in Supplementary Table 2. Bibliographies of relevant articles were reviewed to identify additional studies. Observational studies, including cohort, case-control, and cross-sectional studies, that address associations between migraine and suicidal ideation were included. Articles were rejected on abstract review if they were review articles, case studies, or qualitative studies. No date or language limitations were applied to the search.

Systematic Review of African American Male Health

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Information will be identified by searching the following bibliographic databases: PubMED, EMBASE (Ovid), PsycInfo (Ebsco), CINAHL (Ebsco), and Web of Science (Clarivate). Grey literature databases and repositories will not be searched given concerns about the methodological rigor (methodologies are a primary focus of this review) of grey literature interventions. Additionally, many interventions found in the grey literature were not assessed for ethics nor approved by an institutional review board—a salient concern given the population of interest (i.e., African American males) and the long history of ethical violations experienced by these men that were conducted by health researchers.

Psychological Interventions in Physical Health

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
The following bibliographic databases were searched: MEDLINE (Ovid), EMBASE (Ovid) and PsycINFO (Ebsco). All searches were completed in September 2018. Database search results were limited to publications in English from 2012 onwards.
The current review was prompted by a previous unpublished NHS Education for Scotland report, Psychological interventions in physical health care: the need and the economic case [24 ], which had drawn on cost-effectiveness evidence from a 2012 Kings Fund report [4 ].
Reference lists from relevant systematic reviews and literature reviews were also searched to identify studies that met the criteria for this review, and to provide background information on the state of the evidence base prior to 2012. Forward citation tracking was performed on relevant review papers to identify additional studies. The full search strategy for each database is available in an appendix.

Resilience in Older LGBTQ+ Adults

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
A comprehensive and systematic search strategy was constructed by adapting strategies in previous studies coupled with input from the project team. This was trialled in a sample database, edited based on comments from the team, and implemented by the information specialist [GS]. The search string explored the three main concepts of ‘LGBT+’ [e.g. Lesbian; Gay; Bisexual; Transgender], ‘older’ and ‘resilience’ using synonyms, controlled vocabulary and Boolean operators as appropriate (see S1 Appendix. Example of search terms used in Medline (Ebsco)). CINAHL (Ebsco), Embase (Elsevier), Medline (Ebsco), PsycInfo (Ebsco), Social Science Database (ProQuest), and Web of Science (Clarivate) were all searched from inception until 17 June 2022. The protocol for conducting this review was registered with PROSPERO (registration number: CRD42021249093).

Dyadic Interventions for Heart Failure Caregivers

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
The two medical librarians developed and performed searches in PubMed (1946 to present), EMBASE (Elsevier, 1947 to present), Web of Science (Core Collection, 1900 to present), PsycINFO (EBSCO, 1887 to present), and Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials (CENTRAL, through August 2016). MeSH terms, EMTREE terms, keywords, and keyword phrases were used to search for the following concepts: dyadic; carers; heart failure; and intervention. Search terms were shared with the team to elicit feedback. Searches were limited to English language. Appendix A shows the detailed search strategies.
The combined searches yielded 1217 papers as of September 29, 2016. All papers were exported into EndNote and 327 duplicates were removed mechanically. The remaining papers (890) were imported into an MS EXCEL worksheet for purposes of documenting the inclusion/exclusion analysis performed by the team.

Comprehensive Literature Search on Exercise for IBD

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
The search strategy was developed initially in MEDLINE (Ovid) by an information specialist (NA) and peer-reviewed by a second librarian using the PRESS (Peer Review of Electronic Search Strategies) checklist.23 The final search strategy was translated and run in EMBASE (Ovid), Cochrane CENTRAL (Ovid), PsycInfo (Ovid), CINAHL (EBSCO), Scopus (Elsevier), Web of Science Core (Clarivate), and PEDro (web) (Supplementary Data). We searched for ongoing studies by reviewing trial registries (e.g., ClinicalTrials.gov). The most recent search was performed on January 10, 2023.
We performed a hand search of the reference lists of eligible citations and conference proceedings (2016 to January 2023) of Digestive Diseases Week, Canadian Digestive Diseases Week, World Physiotherapy Congress, and Canadian Physiotherapy Association Congress. Lastly, we screened the first 10 pages of results in Google Scholar using the search string exercise|“physical activity” ibd|“inflammatory bowel”|crohns|colitis. All citations obtained from the literature search were exported to Endnote (version 20, Clarivate) for reference management and deduplication. Relevant citations were imported into Rayyan24 (link) for study selection.
