Glutaraldehyde

Fresh duck eggs were obtained from a Jiangxi Agricultural University farm in Jiangxi Province, China. Sodium chloride (NaCl), potassium ferrocyanide, potassium chromate, n-hexane, iso- propyl alcohol, disodium hydrogenorthophosphate, silver nitrate, sodium dihydrogen phosphate and ethanol were purchased from Sinopharm Chemical Reagent Co., Ltd. (Shanghai, China). Zinc acetate and glutaraldehyde were purchased from Xilong Chemical CO.,Ltd. (Guangdongi, China) and Jingchun Scientific Co., Ltd. (Shanghai, China), respectively.

Ferric chloride, ferrous chloride, glutaraldehyde (25%) and Span-80 were purchased from Xilong Chemical Company (Guangdong, China). Chitosan and acetic acid were purchased from Sinopharm Chemical Reagent, Co. (Shanghai, China). Petroleum ether, ethanol (95%), ammonium hydroxide and liquid paraffin were procured from Myrell Chemical Technology (Shanghai, China). Unless otherwise specified, all chemical reagents were of analytical grade.

Flat-sheet Durapore polyvinyl difluoride (PVDF) membrane (GVWP04700, 0.22 µm, 47 mm) was purchased from Merck Millipore (USA). Sodium alginate was purchased from Sigma (USA). Luria-Bertani (LB), agar, yeast extract and tryptone were purchased from HKM (China). Glutaraldehyde and anhydrous ethanol were purchased from Xilong Science (China). SYTO9 dye was purchased from Molecular Probes (USA). The PowerSoil® DNA Isolation Kit was purchased from MOBIO (MoBio, Carlsbad, CA, USA). Agarose was purchased from Biowest (Spain). The 2x Premix Taq DNA polymerase (Cat. #R004A) was purchased from TAKARA (Takara Bio, Terra Bella Ave. Mountain View, CA, USA). Universal primers 27F (5’-AGAGTTTGATCCTGGCTCAG-3’) and 1492R (5’-GGCTACCTTGTTACGACTT-3’) were synthesized by the Beijing Genomics Institute (BGI, Shenzhen).
