Sourced in Azerbaijan

The Competitive ELISA is a type of enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) used for the quantitative detection of specific analytes in a sample. The core function of the Competitive ELISA is to measure the concentration of an analyte by competition between the analyte in the sample and a known amount of analyte-specific antibody or antigen.

Plasma Corticosterone and Prolactin Assays

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Plasma was analyzed for corticosterone levels by a competitive ELISA (Immunodiagnostic Systems, Fountain Hills, AZ)) according to the manufacturer’s direction. All samples were run on one 96-well plate. Prolactin hormone was determined in plasma by ELISA (Alpco Immunoassays, Salem, NH). Twenty-five microliters of plasma was added to the microplate coated with a monoclonal anti-rat prolactin antibody. A standard curve between 5 and 80 ng/ml of prolactin was utilized to compare the content of prolactin in the plasma samples.

Serum Calcium and Phosphate Analysis

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
All mice were fasted for 2 hours in the morning, after which serum from mice was obtained by cheek bleed. This procedure was performed under isoflurane anesthesia to minimize suffering. Serum calcium and phosphate were measured colorimetrically using kits from Stanbio (Boerne, TX) and Abcam (Cambridge, MA), respectively. Serum PTH and FGF23 were analyzed using the Mouse Intact PTH 1–84 Kit and Mouse Intact FGF23 ELISA Kit, respectively (Immutopics, San Clemente, CA). Serum 1,25D was immunopurified and measured by competitive ELISA (Immunodiagnostic Systems, Gaithersburg, MD).

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
