Paclitaxel is a natural product extracted from the bark of the Pacific yew tree. It is a complex organic compound with a molecular formula of C₄₇H₅₁NO₁₄. Paclitaxel is a microtubule-stabilizing agent, which means it binds to and stabilizes microtubules, preventing their disassembly. This property makes it useful in various research and pharmaceutical applications.
