Mouse alt elisa kit

Manufactured by Abcam
Sourced in United States

The Mouse ALT ELISA Kit is a quantitative assay designed to measure the levels of alanine aminotransferase (ALT) in mouse serum or plasma samples. ALT is an enzyme found in the liver and its detection can be used as a biomarker for liver health.

Plasma Preparation and ALT Assay

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Plasma was prepared from whole blood after centrifugation (10 min, 1300×g followed by 15 min, 2400×g) and transferring supernatant. Samples were stored at − 80 °C until analysis. Plasma levels of ALT were assessed using the mouse ALT ELISA Kit (Abcam, ab282882) according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

Comprehensive Blood and Cytokine Analysis

RBC count, haemoglobin, and mean cell volume was measured from whole blood using an automatic KX-21N Haematology Analyser (Sysmex). Serum levels of ANG-2 and ALT were measured according to the producers’ instructions, using the Mouse ALT ELISA Kit (ab282882, Abcam) and the Mouse/Rat Angiopoietin-2 Quantikine ELISA Kit (MANG20, R&D Systems), respectively. Serum cytokines were measured using the LEGENDplex Mouse Inflammation Panel (740446, BioLegend) bead-based immunoassay. The assay was performed according to the manufacturer’s instructions, except that the protocol was adapted to use half-volumes.

Lipid Metabolism Biomarker Monitoring

Every 4 weeks, after 4-h fasting (9:00-13:00), tail vein blood (n = 16 per group) was collected into paraoxon-coated glass capillaries. Plasma was collected and measured for triglyceride (TG) and total cholesterol (TC) levels. In brief, TG and TC levels were measured using Cobas Triglycerides (106571) and Cobas Total Cholesterol (106570) enzymatic kits (both from Roche Diagnostics, Mannheim, Germany), by adding 200 μL reagent (undiluted for TG and 3× diluted in water for TC) to 7.5 μL 5× diluted samples and incubating at room temperature for 30 min prior to measuring absorption at 492 nm versus 650 nm (for TG) or at 505 nm versus 650 nm (for TC). Plasma high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) and non-HDL-C levels were measured using a previously published approach [34] . Plasma alanine transaminase (ALT) levels were determined at the end of the study using Mouse ALT ELISA Kit (Abcam, Cambridge, MA, USA)

Serum of mice was collected and the levels of AST and ALT were measured using Mouse AST ELISA kit (ab263882, Abcam) and Mouse ALT ELISA kit (ab282882, Abcam). The absorbance at 450 nm was read with a microplate reader (Bio-Rad).

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
