Ltd. (Beijing, China). PDMS was provided by Dow Corning Inc. (Michigan, America). All other chemicals were provided by Adamas-Beta Co. Ltd. (Shanghai, China).

Methyl methacrylate (MMA), methacrylic acid (MAA), n-butyl acrylate (BA), n-butyl methacrylate (BMA), ammonia solution (25–28 wt.%), iodine, sodium hydroxide, and p-toluenesulfonicacid (TsOH) were purchased from Sinopharm Chemical Reagent Co., Ltd. (Shanghai, China), analytical regent (AR). Methacrylicacid-β-hydroxyethyl ester (HEMA) was purchased from Tianjin Institute of Chemical Reagents (Tianjin, China), AR. N,N-dimethylethanolamine (DMEA) was purchased from Tianjin Kemiou Chemical Reagent Co., Ltd. (Tianjin, China), AR. The initiator 4,4′-Azobis (4-cyanovaleric acid) (ACPA,98%, AR) was purchased from Energy Chemical and contains ca. 20% water. Hexamethylolmethymelamine (HMMM) was provided by H. J. Unkel Co., Ltd. (Zhuhai, China). The monomers MMA, BA, and BMA were purified by washing with 10 wt.% aqueous sodium hydroxide solution 4 times, and then by the deionized water 4 times. Other materials were used as received.

Emulsion Polymerization of Acrylate Monomers

Styrene (St), methyl methacrylate (MMA), n-butyl acrylate (BA), butyl methacrylate (MBA), initiator potassium persulfate (KPS), and sodium bicarbonate (NaHCO3) were purchased from Sinopharm Group Chemical Reagent Co. LTD (Shanghai, China) at reagent grade. Emulsifiers, sodium dodecyl benzene sulfonate (SDS) and alkylphenol polyoxyethylene ether (OP-10), were available from Aladdin (Shanghai, China) and Tianjin Photonics Reagent Co. LTD (Tianjin, China), respectively. Deionized water (DDI) was used in all experiments. All the chemicals were used directly without further purification.

Poly (ethylene glycol) methyl ether methacrylate (PEGMA, average molecular weight = 475 g·mol−1) was purchased from Shanghai Aladdin Biochemical Technology Co., Ltd (Shanghai, China). 4,4′–Azobis (4-cyanovaleric acid) (ACPA, 98%, AR), containing ca. 20% water, was purchased from Energy Chemical. N, N-Dimethylethanolamine (DMEA) was purchased from Tianjin Kemiou Chemical Reagent Co., Ltd. (Tianjin, China), AR. Hexamethylolmethymelamine (HMMM, MF Resin) was provided by H. J. Unkel Co., Ltd. (Zhuhai, China). The monomers BA, MMA, St, and BMA were extracted by washing four times with 10 wt.% aqueous sodium hydroxide solution in a separatory funnel, followed by washing with deionized water four times in a separatory funnel. Other materials were used as received.
