In this study, evodiamine (purity >98%), dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO), and type II collagenase were obtained from Solarbio (Beijing, China). Mouse IL-1β was purchased from Novoprotein (Suzhou, China). The following primary antibodies were utilized in the present study: mouse anti-collagen II, mouse anti-ADAMTS-5, mouse anti-COX-2, mouse anti-IκB, and mouse anti-GAPDH were purchased from Affinity Biosciences (Beijing, China). Mouse anti-iNOS, mouse anti-MMP-13, and mouse anti-Laminb1 were acquired from Proteintech (Wuhan, China). Primary antibodies to mouse anti-p65 were obtained from Cell Signaling Technology (Boston, MA, United States). Fetal bovine serum (FBS) and Dulbecco’s modified Eagle’s medium (DMEM)/F12 were acquired from Gibco (Grand Island, United States). And all ELISA kits were acquired from Cusabio (Wuhan, China).

The following antibodies were used in this study: mouse anti-ATF6 (Proteintech No. 66563-1-Ig), rabbit anti-α-subunit of GNPTAB (Abclonal Technology No. A15895), mouse anti-β-actin (Sigma No. A1978), mouse anti-clathrin heavy chain (BD Transduction Laboratories No. 610499), rabbit anti-CYP51A1 (Proteintech No. 13431-1-AP), rabbit anti-EGFP (Proteintech No. 50430-2-AP), mouse anti-FDFT1 (Santa Cruz Biotechnology No. sc-271602), mouse anti-Flag tag (Proteintech No. 66008-3-Ig), mouse anti-GAPDH (Proteintech No. 60004-1-Ig), mouse anti-GM130 (BD Transduction Laboratories No. 610823), mouse anti-lamin B1 (Proteintech No. 66095-1-Ig), mouse anti-lyso-bis-phosphatidic acid (LBPA) (Echelon Biosciences No. Z-PLBPA), rabbit anti-Myc tag (Proteintech No. 16286-1-AP), mouse anti-squalene epoxidase (Santa Cruz Biotechnology No. sc-271651). The polyclonal antibody against LDLR, the monoclonal antibody against HMGCR (A9), and the monoclonal antibody against SREBP2 (1D2) were prepared in our laboratory. The scFv (single-chain Fragment variable) M6P (mannose 6-phosphate) antibody was a kind gift from Dr. Thomas Braulke (University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf, Germany). Primary antibodies were used at the dilution of 1:500 for immunofluorescent staining and 1:1,000 for immunoblotting.

BAI (Figure 1(a); 98% purity, CAS number 21967-41-9) was bought from Tauto Biotech (Shanghai, China). LPS from Escherichia coli O111:B4 and protease and phosphatase inhibitor tablets were purchased from Sigma-Aldrich (St. Louis, MO, USA). EX-527, also known as Selisistat, was purchased from Selleck (Houston, TX, USA). Rabbit anti-SIRT1, rabbit anti-HMGB1, rabbit antiacetylated lysine, and mouse anti-GFAP were from Cell Signaling Technology (Beverly, MA, USA); mouse anti-TNF-α and mouse anti-HMGB1 were from Santa Cruz Biotechnology (Santa Cruz, CA); rabbit anti-IL-1β, goat antimouse IgG H&L (Alexa Fluor® 594), and goat antirabbit IgG H&L (Alexa Fluor® 594/488) were from Abcam (Cambridge, MA, USA); rabbit anti-Iba-1 was from Wako (Rosemont, IL, USA); mouse anti-LaminB1, mouse anti-GAPDH, and mouse anti-β-actin were from Proteintech Group (Wuhan, China). Protein A/G-coupled magnetic beads were from Invitrogen (Carlsbad, CA, USA).
