Thujone
Thujone is a chemical compound found in certain essential oils, such as those derived from the Thuja tree. It functions as a modulator of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) receptors in the central nervous system. Thujone is commonly used in research applications involving the study of neurotransmitter systems and their effects on physiological processes.

Thujone, nicotine, and methyllycaconitine (MLA) were purchased from Sigma (St.Louis, MO, USA). They were dissolved in isotonic saline and administered intraperitoneally (i.p.) at a volume of 1 ml/kg. All doses were expressed in terms of the free base. All experiments were conducted in a blinded fashion in which the operator was unaware of the specific treatment groups to which an animal belonged.
About PubCompare
Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.
We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.
However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
