Irisin recombinant elisa kit

Manufactured by Phoenix Pharmaceuticals
Sourced in United States

The Irisin recombinant ELISA kit is a laboratory tool used for the quantitative determination of irisin levels in various sample types. It is an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) that employs the quantitative sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique.

ELISA Assay for Serum Irisin

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
The enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) tests were performed on serum samples from BC patients. Serum samples were obtained from venous blood after centrifugation at 3000 rpm for 10 min and were preserved at −80 °C for further analysis. Serum Ir levels were examined using commercially available ELISA recombinant irisin kit test Irisin, Recombinant Elisa kit (Cat No. EK-0670-29, Phoenix Pharmaceuticals, CA, USA). The ELISA tests were performed according to the manufacturer’s protocol. For each sample, 50 μL of serum was used. The results were verified by microplate reader ELX-800 (BIO-TEK, VT, USA). The examination was performed in two repetitions.

Serum Biomarkers of Metabolic Health

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Fasting glucose, insulin, total cholesterol, high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), and triglycerides serum levels were measured in all children studied. The homeostasis model assessment of insulin resistance (HOMA-IR) index was calculated (insulin (μU/mL) × glucose (mmol/L)/22.5) [45 (link)].
Irisin concentrations were determined in plasma using the irisin recombinant ELISA kit (Phoenix Pharmaceuticals, Inc., Burlingame, CA, USA). The intra-assay and inter-assay coefficients of variation (CVs) were ≤10% and ≤15%, respectively; sensitivity was 2.42 ng/mL and specificity was 100% for human irisin (1–112) and 9% for FNDC5 isoform 4.

Quantifying Plasma Levels of METRNL and Irisin

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Plasma levels of METRNL and irisin were measured using the Enzyme Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA). Plasma samples were thawed on ice and centrifuged for 5 min at 10,000 ×g at 4°C to remove any remaining cells or platelets. Plasma level of METRNL was measured using the Human METRNL ELISA kit (LifeSpan BioSciences, Inc., Seattle, WA, USA. Cat# LS-F13315). The samples were diluted 10× with sample diluent. ELISA was performed according to the manufacturer’s instructions. The intra-assay coefficient of variation was 5.0%–10.0% while the inter-assay coefficient of variation was < 10%. Plasma level of irisin was measured using the irisin recombinant ELISA kit (Phoenix Pharmaceuticals, Inc., Burlingame, CA, USA. Cat #EK-067-29) following the manufacturer’s kit instructions. Plasma samples were diluted 40× with the 1× assay buffer (provided in the kit). The intra-assay coefficient for this ELISA assay was 1.0%–7.0%, while the inter-assay coefficient was < 20%.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
