EESP stock solution was prepared as previously described [15 (link)]. Human carcinoma HCT-8 cells and HCT-8/5-FU cells (KeyGEN Biotech, Nanjing, China) were cultured at 37°C in a humidified incubator with 5% CO2 in RPMI medium 1640 (KeyGEN Biotech, Nanjing, China) supplemented with 10% FBS (Hyclone, Carlsbad, USA), 100 U/mL of penicillin, and 100 μg/mL of streptomycin (Life Technologies, Shanghai, China). HCT-8/5-FU cells were cultured in the abovementioned medium with the addition of 15 μg/mL of 5-FU (Shanghai Amino Acids Company, Shanghai, China).

CRC Cell Line Maintenance Protocol

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Human CRC HCT-8 cells and 5-FU resistant HCT-8/5-FU cells were obtained from Nanjing KeyGen Biotech. Co., Ltd. Cells were grown in RPMI-1640 medium, supplemented with 10% FBS, 100 U/ml penicillin and 100 µg/ml streptomycin. In addition, HCT-8/5-FU cell cultures were supplemented with 15 µg/ml 5-FU. Cells were cultured at 37°C and 5% CO2 in a humidified incubator. The cells were subcultured at a ratio of 1:4-1:6 at between 80 and 90% confluency.

Culturing Human Colorectal Carcinoma Cells

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Human colorectal carcinoma HCT-8 cell and 5-FU resistant HCT-8/5-FU cells were obtained from Nanjing KeyGen Biotech. Co. Ltd. (Nanjing, Jiangsu, China). Cells were grown in RPMI 1640 medium containing 10% (v/v) FBS, 100 units/mL penicillin, and 100 μg/mL streptomycin in a 37°C humidified incubator with 5% CO2. The cells were subcultured at 80–90% confluency. HCT-8/5-FU cells were cultured in RPMI-1640 containing 15 μg/mL of 5-FU.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
