purchased from AK Scientific. 4,4′-Azobis(4-cyanovaleric acid)
(V-501) was purchased from FUJIFILM Wako Pure Chemical Corporation.
Silicon dioxide-coated QSensors (QSX 303 SiO2) were used
as substrates and were purchased from Biolin Scientific. Dialysis
tubing with a molecular weight cutoff (MWCO) of 3.5 kDa was purchased
from VWR. Milli-Q water with a resistivity of 18.2 MΩ·cm
was used for all experiments.

Synthesis of Silica-based Luminescent Nanoparticles

Silica spheres with a diameter of 5 µm were obtained from Baseline Chrom Tech, Tianjin, China. Poly(styrene sulfonate) sodium salt (PSS, Mw = 70 000), poly(allylamine hydrochloride) (PAH, Mw = 70 000), poly(acrylic acid) (PAA, Mw = 1800), Y(NO3)3·6H2O, Er(NO3)3·6H2O, and Yb(NO3)3·6H2O were purchased from Sigma-Aldrich. 2,4,6-Trinitrotoluene (TNT) was purchased from Best-reagent, Chengdu, China. 3-Aminopropyltriethoxysilane (APTES), ethylene glycol dimethacrylate (EGDMA) 2,2’-azobisisobutyronitrile (AIBN), 1-octadecene (ODE, 90%) and oleic acid (OA, 90%) were obtained from Aladdin Chemistry Co. Ltd. NaOH, NH4F, ethanol, methanol, cyclohexane, trichloromethane, acetonitrile, NaCl, Na2HPO4, and NaH2PO4 were purchased from Tianjin Tianli Chemical Reagent Co. Ltd. Hydrofluoric acid (HF) and hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) were obtained from Beijing Chemical Works, China. All commercial materials were used without further purification.

Fluorescent Labeling of Biomolecules

Pebax®1657 Hybrid Membrane Fabrication

Commercial Pebax®1657 (consisting of 60 wt% PEO and 40 wt% PA6) was purchased from Arkema Inc. A mixture of ethanol and water (70/30 wt%) was used as a solvent for Pebax®1657. Ammonia water (NH3·H2O, 25%) and tetraethyl orthosilicate (Si(OEt)4, TEOS, 98%) were supplied by Feng chuan Chemistry Co., Ltd. (Tianjin, China) and Aldrich, respectively. Pristine HNTs were provided by Henan Xianghu Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd. (Henan province, China). Polystyrene sulfonate sodium salt (PSS, MW = 70,000) was provided by Sigma-Aldrich. Hydrofluoric acid (HF) and Ti3AlC2 powder were purchased from Sigma-Aldrich. Ethanol, hydrogen peroxide, hydrochloric acid, phosphoric acid, dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO), sulfuric acid, and KMnO4 were provided by Kewei Chemistry Co., Ltd. (Tianjin, China). Deionized water was used throughout the experiment. The polymer and other chemicals were used as received without further treatment.

Biofunctionalized Graphene Synthesis
