Pi apoptosis detection kit

Manufactured by BestBio
Sourced in China

The PI) Apoptosis Detection Kit is a laboratory tool designed for the detection and analysis of apoptosis, a programmed cell death process. The kit utilizes the DNA-binding dye propidium iodide (PI) to stain cells, allowing for the identification of apoptotic cells through flow cytometry or fluorescence microscopy. The core function of the kit is to provide researchers with a reliable method for quantifying and visualizing apoptosis in cell samples.

Apoptosis Detection by Flow Cytometry

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Apoptosis was detected using an Annexin V/fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC) and propidium iodide (PI) apoptosis detection kit (BestBio, Shanghai, China). Briefly, after treatment with decitabine or transfection with TET2-siRNA or EZH2-siRNA for 48 h, 2 × 105 cells were harvested, resuspended in 100 µl of flow cytometry binding buffer, and stained with 5 µL of Annexin V/FITC and 1 µL of PI. Then, the cells were incubated in the dark for 15 min at 4 °C, and 400 µL of binding buffer was added. The cells were immediately analyzed on a Galios flow cytometer (Beckman Coulter, CA, USA)18 (link).

Apoptosis Analysis of cSCC Cells

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Apoptotic cSCC cells were analyzed following miR-451a transfection using an Annexin V-fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC)/propidium iodide (PI) apoptosis detection kit (Best-Bio, Ltd.) and flow cytometry as previously reported (22 (link)). Briefly, cells were resuspended in 200 µl binding buffer and dual-stained in the dark for 15 min at room temperature using PI and Annexin V-FITC (both, 100 µl). Late apoptotic cells (positive for PI and Annexin V-FITC) were analyzed using a BD Accuri™ C6 Plus flow cytometer and CellQuest software (version no; 6.1; both from BD Biosciences).

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
