Diatomite-based Multifunctional Materials

The raw diatomite was obtained from Changbai Mountain, Jilin Province of China. Manganese(ii) chloride (MnCl2·4H2O), niobium oxide (Nb2O5) and oxalic acid (H2C2O4·2H2O) were purchased from Sinopharm Chemical Reagent Co., Ltd. Hydrofluoric acid (HF), lead nitrate (Pb(NO3)2), ferric trichloride hexahydrate (FeCl3·6H2O) and aluminum nitrate nonahydrate (Al(NO3)3·9H2O) were purchased from Tianjin Fuchen Chemical Reagent Factory. Tin(ii) chloride (SnCl2·2H2O), anhydrous ethanol (C2H5OH), Hydrofluoric acid (HCl), sodium hydroxide (NaOH), sodium nitrate (NaNO3), sodium sulfate anhydrous (Na2SO4) and sodium dihydrogen phosphate (NaH2PO4·2H2O) were supplied by Beijing Chemical Reagent Research Company. Zinc nitrate hexahydrate (Zn(NO3)2·6H2O) and ammonium oxalate ((NH4)2C2O4) were purchased from Xilong Chemical Co., Ltd. Cadmium nitrate tetrahydrate (Cd(NO3)2·6H2O) was supported by Damao Chemical Reagent Factory. All chemicals used in this work were without further purification and the deionized water was used throughout this study.

Synthesis and Characterization of Fluorescent Dyes

Soil Characterization and Zinc Adsorption

soil samples were collected from flower and plant nursery stock bases
in Guilin city of China. The soils were air-dried and ground to a
1 mm sieve, then homogenized and stored until analysis. Table 1 summarized the main characteristics

Co., Ltd. (Shantou, China), and copper nitrate trihydrate (Cu(NO3)2·3H2O, 99%, AR) was purchased
from Shanghai Aladdin Biochemical Technology Co., Ltd. (Shanghai,
China).

Fabrication of Zinc Oxide Thin Films

Indium tin oxide (ITO, In:SnO2, 7–10 Ω, 20 × 20 mm2 active area) glass substrates were ordered from Luoyang Guluo Glass Co. Ltd (Henan, China). Deionized water (H2O) with a resistivity higher than 18.0 MΩ cm was supplied by a Hi-tech laboratory water purification system. All chemicals and solvents used were at least reagent grade without any additional purification.

Analytical Determination of Pyridoxal and Pyridoxine

Methanol (HPLC grade, ≥99.9%) was purchased from Thermo Fisher Technologies Co., Ltd. Pyridoxal and pyridoxine were prepared in 0.1 mol/L hydrochloric acid to form a standard reserve solution with a concentration of 1000 mg/L and stored at 4 °C. A series of mixed standard working solutions were prepared according to experimental requirements.
