Choline hydroxide (44% mass fraction, aqueous solution), glycine (Gly, ≥99%), l-alanine (Ala, ≥99%), serine (Ser, ≥99%), isoleucine (Ile,≥ 99%), aspartic acid (Asp, ≥99%), lysine (Lys, ≥99%), carbomer 940, and triethanolamine (>99%) were purchased from Aladdin and used as received. Ferulic acid (≥99%), and puerarin (≥99%) were purchased from Macklin and used as received. DMSO (≥99.9%), penicillin–streptomycin solution (100X), and l-glutamine (≥99%) were supplied by Aladdin. RPMI 1640 cell culture medium and fetal bovine serum (FBS) were purchased from Biological Industries. Phosphate buffered saline (PBS, pH = 7.4, 0.01 M) was purchased from Biorigin. CCK-8 was from Invigentech. A polyethersulfone (PES) membrane was supplied by Sartorius Stedim Biotech GmbH (Germany).

Paeonol (≥98%), tyrosinase (≥500 U mg⁻¹), penicillin–streptomycin solution (100X), l-glutamine (≥99%), and cholesterol (≥99.5%) were purchased from Macklin. Lauric acid (≥99%) was supplied by Alfa Aesar. Phosphate buffered saline (PBS, pH = 6.8, 0.01 M) was purchased from Biorigin. l-Dopa (≥98%) was supplied by Duly Biotech. Co. Ltd (Nanjing, China).
