Heteroaryl Nitrones as Spin Traps

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
The newly developed heteroaryl nitrones studied as spin traps are summarized in Fig. 2. 5,5-Dimethyl-1-pyrroline-N-oxide (DMPO, Fig. 1), dimethylsulfoxide, anhydrous sodium sulfite, monobasic potassium phosphate, sodium hydroxide, N-methyl-d-glucamine (MGD), diethylenetriaminepentaacetic acid, xanthine, and xanthine oxidase were purchased from Sigma-Aldrich. Sodium azide, hydrogen peroxide aqueous solution (30%), anhydrous ethanol, dibasic sodium phosphate heptahydrate, methanol, carbon disulfide, and sodium nitrite were purchased from Merck. Ferrous ammonium sulfate hexahydrate was purchased from Mallinckrodt Baker.

Salts (FeNH4(SO4)2·12 H2O, CaCl2, CuCl2, CoCl2, MgCl2, MnCl2, ZnCl2, PbCl2, CdCl2, HgCl2, solvents (analytical grade and spectroscopic grade) and other chemical reagents (analytical grade and spectroscopic grade) such as 5,5-Dimethyl-1-pyrroline-N-oxide (DMPO), 4-(2-Hydroxyethyl)piperazine-1-ethanesulfonic acid (HEPES) and (±)-6-Hydroxy-2,5,7,8-tetramethylchromane-2-carboxylic acid (Trolox) were purchased from Sigma-Aldrich; Hydrogen peroxide 30% was purchased from Merck. Ferrous ammonium sulfate hexahydrate was purchased from Mallinckrodt Baker. Stock solutions (200 μM) of the metal ions were prepared in Milli-Q water with the salts Fe(NH4)2(SO4)2·6H2O, FeNH4(SO4)2·12H2O, CaCl2, CuCl2, CoCl2, MgCl2, MnCl2, ZnCl2, PbCl2, CdCl2, or HgCl2.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
