Bradykinin elisa kit

Manufactured by Enzo Life Sciences
Sourced in United States

The Bradykinin ELISA kit is a laboratory tool designed to measure the concentration of bradykinin, a signaling peptide, in biological samples. This kit uses the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) technique to detect and quantify the target analyte.

Quantifying Kinin Peptides in Viral Inactivated BAL Fluid

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Lys-bradykinin and bradykinin were measured in viral inactivated BAL fluid samples using an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) according to manufacturer instructions (Bradykinin ELISA kit; Enzo Life Sciences, cat. ADI-900-206). In addition, we measured kinins (Lys-bradykinin, bradykinin) and their metabolites (Lys-bradykinin-(1-8), bradykinin-(1-8), bradykinin-(1-7), and bradykinin-(1-5)) using a previously published and more sensitive liquid chromatography with tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) assay in collaboration with the University of Düsseldorf, Germany.18 ,19 (link) For this analysis, 100 µL of BAL fluid was purified by a customized weak cation exchange solid-phase extraction. The resulting eluate was evaporated under a gentle stream of nitrogen at 60°C on a shaker at 350 rpm. The dissolved residue was then analysed using an Agilent 1200 LC-system (Agilent Technologies, Ratingen, Germany) coupled to an API 4000 mass spectrometer (AB Sciex, Darmstadt, Germany). The respective quantification limits for the assessed kinin peptides were: 4·4 pg/mL for Lys-bradykinin, 6·7 pg/mL for bradykinin, 10·6 pg/mL for Lys-bradykinin-(1-8), 7·3 pg/mL for bradykinin-(1-8), 6·5 pg/mL for bradykinin-(1-7), and 22·8 pg/mL for bradykinin-(1-5).

The collection and storage of CSF used in this study was performed in the same process as follows [22 (link)]. The concentrations of Aβ1–42, t-Tau, and p-Tau181 in CSF were measured using INNOTEST ELISA kit (Fujirebio, Ghent, Belgium) and that of bradykinin (BK) was quantitated with Bradykinin ELISA kit (Enzo Life Sciences, Farmingdale, NY, USA) according to the protocols provided by the manufacturers.

Small unilamellar phospholipid vesicles (PCPS) composed of 75% (w/w) hen egg L-α-phosphatidylcholine and 25% (w/w) porcine brain L-α-phosphatidylserine (Avanti Polar Lipids) were prepared and quality-controlled as described29 (link). The thrombin S2238 peptidyl substrate was purchased from Chromogenix. Enzygnost Prothrombin Fragment 1.2 micro-ELISA kit was purchased from Siemens. Bradykinin ELISA kit was purchased from Enzo Life Sciences.

To evaluate the secretion of IL-6, IL-8 and Angiotensin II, cellular supernatant was collected subsequent to each treatment, aliquoted into eppendorf tubes, and stored at −80°C. IL-6, IL-8 and Angiotensin II concentrations were quantified using commercially available ELISA kits (Human IL-6 Platinum ELISA: BMS213/2, eBioscience, Tasmania, Australia; Human IL-8 Platinum ELISA: BMS204/3, eBioscience; Angiotensin II ELISA kit: ADI-900–204, Enzo Life Sciences, Farmingdale, USA; Bradykinin ELISA kit: ADI-900–206, Enzo Life Sciences) according to procedures recommended by the manufacturer.(5 (link), 26 (link))

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
