Glucose hexokinase reagent
The Glucose Hexokinase Reagent is a laboratory product designed to quantitatively determine the concentration of glucose in a sample. The reagent contains the enzyme hexokinase, which catalyzes the phosphorylation of glucose to glucose-6-phosphate, and glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase, which then converts the glucose-6-phosphate to 6-phosphogluconate with the concurrent reduction of NAD to NADH. The amount of NADH produced is proportional to the glucose concentration in the sample and can be measured spectrophotometrically.

About PubCompare
Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.
We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.
However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
