Rhodamine-B, 2-aminobenzothiazole,
and phosphorus(V) oxychloride were purchased from Sigma-Aldrich. Triethyl
amine, ThT, dry DCM, hexane, chloroform, ethyl acetate, and nitrocellulose
membrane were purchased from Merck (Germany). Silica gel was taken
from SRL. 1,1,1,3,3,3-Hexafluoroisopropanol (HFIP) was procured from
Spectrochem. 2-[4-(2-Hydroxyethyl)piperazin-1-yl]ethanesulfonic acid
and nickel chloride hexahydrate were purchased from Himedia. Copper(II)
chloride, MTT, zinc nitrate hexahydrate, cobalt chloride, 4-piperazinediethanesulfonic
acid, Dulbecco’s modified Eagle’s medium (DMEM), ethylenediaminetetraacetic
acid, and cell culture-grade dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO) were purchased
from Sigma-Aldrich. Various culture media and serum were procured
from Invitrogen. β-Amyloid (1–42) was procured from Alxotec

TEGylated Phenothiazine Chitosan Synthesis

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
The following materials such as reduced molecular weight chitosan, triethylene glycol monomethyl ether 97%, phenothiazine 98%, sodium hydride 95%, phosphorus (V) oxychloride 99%, and magnesium sulfate (MgSO4) 99.5%, have been acquired/bought from the Sigma-Aldrich Company(St. Louis, MO, USA). TEGylated phenothiazine refers to the fact that the phenothiazine heterocycle has been substituted with TEG (triethylene glycol), in other words, the phenothiazine core has a TEG chain attached. The chitosan molecular mass (198 kDa) was obtained by viscosity measurement founded on Mark–Houwink formula, with an Ubbelohde type viscometer. The acetylation degree (DA = 18%) was established from 1H-NMR. Acetone, dichloromethane (DCM) 99.5%, and dichloroethane (DCE) 99% were acquired from ROTH Company. Acetic acid and mercury (II) acetate were bought from VWR Company [7 (link)]. All resolvents and reagents were utilized as they were received.

Synthesis and Characterization of ILs

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Materials TMOP and TEOP have been synthesized using phosphorus(V) oxychloride (99% purity, Sigma Aldrich) and respective alcohol triethylene glycol monomethyl ether (95% purity, Sigma Aldrich) and di(ethylene glycol) ethyl ether (99% purity, Sigma Aldrich). 1-Methylpyrrolidine (98% purity, Sigma Aldrich) 1,2dimethylimidazole (99% purity, Sigma Aldrich), 1-methylimidazole (98% purity, Sigma Aldrich), sodium sulfate (99% purity, Sigma Aldrich), ethyl acetate (99.5% purity, Sigma Aldrich) and hexane (99% purity, Sigma Aldrich) were used without further purification. All the synthesized ILs were kept in a vacuum oven at 90 1C for at least 3 days until the water content was less than 100 ppm (Table S4, ESI †), as determined by the Karl-Fischer titration using a 917 coulometer (Metrohm) placed inside a glovebox with water and oxygen contents less than 1 ppm. Multi-walled carbon nanotubes (Sigma Aldrich, 95% carbon, O.D.  L 6-9 nm  5 mm), activated charcoal (Sigma Aldrich, 100 mesh size), polyvinyl alcohol (Merck, M W 72 000) and glass microfiber filters (Whatman s ) were used as received.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
