Epiquik global histone h3 h4 acetylation assay kit

Manufactured by Epigentek
Sourced in United States

The EpiQuik™ global histone H3/H4 acetylation assay kit is a sensitive and reliable tool for quantifying the global levels of acetylated histone H3 and H4 proteins in various cell and tissue samples. The kit utilizes a unique and proprietary method to capture acetylated histones and detect them through a colorimetric reaction, providing a simple, fast, and high-throughput approach for histone acetylation analysis.

Global Histone Acetylation Assay

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Histone extracts from the hippocampus tissue (n = 3 per group) were prepared by using a total histone extraction kit (Epigentek) according to the manufacturer's protocol. Detection of global histone H3/H4 acetylation levels was measured using the EpiQuik™ global histone H3/H4 acetylation assay kit (Epigentek). Briefly, histone proteins (1–2 μg) were added to the strip wells. Acetylated histone H3/H4 was detected with a high‐affinity antibody, and the ratios and amounts of acetylated histone H3/H4 were displayed with a horseradish peroxidase‐conjugated secondary antibody color development system. The color was measured by reading absorbance at 450 nm using a Microplate Photometer.

Quantifying Histone Acetylation Levels

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Histone extracts from 12 samples (n = 4 per group) were prepared by using a total histone extraction kit (Epigentek) according to the manufacturer’s protocol. Detection of global histone H3/H4 acetylation status was performed using the EpiQuik™ global histone H3/H4 acetylation assay kit (Cat. P-4008-96/P-4009-96, Epigentek Group Inc., NY, USA), following the manufacturer’s recommendations. Briefly, histone proteins (1–2 μg) were added to the strip wells. Acetylated histone H3/H4 was detected with a high-affinity antibody, and the ratios and amounts of acetylated histone H3/H4 were displayed with a horseradish peroxidase-conjugated secondary anti-body color development system. The color was measured by reading absorbance at 450 nm using a Microplate Photometer.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
