Antibodies against MT1 (#NBP1-71113) were purchased from Novus Biologicals (Littleton, CO, USA). Antibodies against β-actin (#sc-47778), caspase 9 (#sc-8355), lamin A/C (#sc-20681), and MT2 (#sc-28453) were purchased from Santa Cruz Biotechnology (Dallas, TX, USA). All primers for mRNA and miRNA were purchased from Cosmogenetech (Seoul, Korea). Small interfering RNAs (siRNAs) were purchased from Bioneer (Deajeon, Korea).

PEDV strain CV777 (GenBank accession no. KT323979; group I) and polyclonal antibody against PEDV N protein were kindly provided by the Division of Swine Digestive System Infectious Diseases, State Key Laboratory of Veterinary Biotechnology, Harbin Veterinary Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences. For virus propagation in Vero E6 cells, the maintenance medium was DMEM supplement with 1% penicillin/streptomycin and 10 μg/mL trypsin (2.5% trypsin, Gibco).
