Methanol (LC/MS grade) and acetonitrile (LC grade) were purchased from Merck KGaA (Darmstadt, Germany). Formic acid, acetic acid, and ammonium acetate, both of LC/MS grade, were supplied by Aladdin Biochemical Technology Co., Ltd. (Shanghai, China). QuEChERS purifier was obtained from Meizheng Bio-Tech Co., Ltd. (Wuxi, Jiangsu, China), and it consisted of octadecyl silica (C18), silica, graphitized carbon black (GCB), magnesium sulfate (MgSO4), and primary secondary amine (PSA).
Mycotoxin Solid Calibration Standards
All mycotoxin solid standards for LC-MS/MS analysis were dissolved in methanol (1 mg/mL), and were storable for a minimum of 1 year at −18 °C [60 (link)]. DON-3G was kept at 4 °C. The working solutions of DON, 3-ADON, 15-ADON, DOM-1 and NIV (10 ng/µL) were prepared in methanol, and stored at −18 °C, while DON-3G (10 ng/µL) was dissolved in acetonitrile (4 °C, monthly renewed).
DON standard for the bioassay and the enrichment protocol was dissolved in dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) at a concentration of 1 mg/mL and stored at −18 °C. Working solutions of 100 and 10 mg/L DON were prepared in “Lemna medium” or “minimal incubation medium” (MMO) and stored at −18 °C.

All mycotoxin solid standards were dissolved in methanol (1 mg/mL) and were storable for a minimum of 1 year at −18°C (Spanjer et al., 2008 (link)). The working solutions of AFB1, AFB2, AFG1, AFG2, and ZAN (10 ng/μl) were prepared in methanol, and stored at −18°C and renewed monthly. Water was obtained from a Milli-Q® SP Reagent water system from Millipore Corp. (Brussels, Belgium). Disinfectol® (denaturated ethanol with 5% ether) was supplied by Chem-Lab (Zedelgem, Belgium). Methanol (LC-MS grade) was purchased from BioSolve (Valkenswaard, the Netherlands), while acetonitrile (Analar Normapur) and ammonium acetate were obtained from VWR International (Zaventem, Belgium). Acetic acid (glacial, 100%) was supplied by Merck (Darmstadt, Germany).

About PubCompare
Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.
We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.
However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
