Carbamylcholine chloride (carbachol, CCh) and 3-isobutyl-1-methylxanthine (IBMX) were from Sigma-Aldrich (Gillingham, UK). Ionomycin was from Apollo Scientific (Stockport, UK). Purified tubulin from bovine brain was purchased from Cytoskeleton (Denver, CO). [2,8-3H]adenine was purchased from Perkin Elmer.
