Anti cc3 antibody

Manufactured by Cell Signaling Technology

The Anti-CC3 antibody is a laboratory reagent used to detect the presence of cleaved Caspase-3, a key executioner protein involved in apoptosis, or programmed cell death. This antibody specifically recognizes the cleaved form of Caspase-3, providing a reliable tool for researchers studying cell signaling and apoptotic pathways.

Tubulin-specific mAb DM1α (Sigma-Aldrich), anti-centromere antibody (CREST), anti-CC-3 antibody (Cell Signaling), anti-Ki67-antibody (Ventana), anti-γ-H2AX-antibody (Novus Biologicals), GFP-specific antibody (William Wickner). Antibodies were used at dilutions of 1:1,000 or 1:10,000 (for GFP-specific antibody).

Quantifying Apoptosis in Embryonic Liver

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Immunofluorescence for CC3 and TER-119 was performed manually on paraffin sections of embryos. After heat-induced epitope retrieval in a pH 6.0 citrate buffer, the primary antibodies were applied (rabbit polyclonal anti-CC3 antibody, Cell Signaling Technology, 9661, rat monoclonal anti–TER-119 antibody, BD Pharmingen, 550565, both at 1:200 dilution), followed by the application of secondary antibodies (anti-rabbit IgG conjugated with Alexa Fluor 488, Thermo Fisher, A-21206, anti-rat IgG conjugated with Alexa Fluor 594, Thermo Fisher, A-21209, both at 1:500 dilution), DAPI, and an autofluorescence quenching kit (TrueVIEW, Vector Laboratories, SP-8400-15). Slides were imaged on a BX-61 microscope, and CC3-positive cell quantification on whole liver sections was performed in Qupath 0.3.0.

Detect Cleaved Caspase-3 in Cells

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Cells were triturated into single cells, washed with phosphate buffered saline (PBS), fixed in cytospin fluid, and cytospun onto Plus slides (Fisher). Cells were then processed for cleaved caspase 3 (CC3) detection, using an anti-CC3 antibody (Cell Signaling Technology, Beverly, MA) as described (33 (link)).

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
