Multiplex map kit

Manufactured by Merck Group
Sourced in United States

The Multiplex MAP kit is a laboratory equipment product offered by Merck Group. It is designed for the simultaneous detection and quantification of multiple analytes in a single sample. The core function of this kit is to enable efficient and high-throughput analysis of various biomolecules, such as proteins, cytokines, or other targets, in a cost-effective and time-saving manner.

Erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) was determined using the Westergren method. Serum ferritin levels were determined using a chemiluminescent immunoassay sandwich method (two-site immunoenzymatic assay, Beckman Coulter, Inc., 250 S. Kraemer Blvd., Brea, CA 92821 U.S.A.), and C-reactive protein (CRP) levels using an immunoturbidimetric method (Beckman Coulter, Inc., 250 S. Kraemer Blvd., Brea, CA 92821 U.S.A.). Serum levels of IFN-γ and IL-18 were measured using magnetic multiplex particle-based assay (Multiplex MAP kits, EMD Millipore, Billerica, MA, USA) according to the manufacturer's instructions.

Serum levels of IFN-α2, IFN-γ, Interleukin (IL)-6, and tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α were determined with magnetic multiplex particle-based assay (Multiplex MAP kits, EMD Millipore, Billerica, MA, USA) according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

Measurement of Murine Immune Markers

Blood samples were collected by cardiac puncture 24 h after the last OVA challenge on day 35 and serum was collected by centrifugation at 2000× g for 20 min at 4 °C. Serum total IgE and OVA-specific IgG1 concentrations were measured using Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) kit (eBioscience, Hartfield, UK and Cayman Chemical Company, Ann Arbor, MI, USA). Concentrations of murine IL-10, IL-17, TNF-α, CXCL9, and CXCL10 in NALF were measured using Multiplex MAP kit (EMD Millipore Corp., Billerica, MA, USA) using Luminex Bio-plex 200 suspension array system (Bio-Rad Corp. Hercules, CA, USA).

Cytokine Profiling in Murine Asthma Model

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Concentrations of murine Th1 cytokines interferon (IFN)-γ, Th2 cytokines IL-4, IL-5, IL-13 and RANTES/CCL5, pro-inflammatory cytokine IL-17 and anti-inflammatory cytokine IL-10 in serum and BAL fluid were determined using Multiplex MAP kit (EMD Millipore Corp., Billerica, MA, USA) and Bio-plex pro assay kit reagents using Luminex Bio-plex 200 suspension array system (Bio-Rad Corp. Hercules, CA, USA). The levels of IL-31 and IL-33 in BAL fluid of the mice were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) kits (Thermo Fisher Scientific and BioLegend, San Diego, CA, USA, respectively). Th1/Th2 ratio was calculated based on the Th1 IFN-γ and Th2 IL-4 levels in BAL fluid. Murine OVA-specific IgE, total IgE, IL-9 and TGF-β concentrations in the serum and BAL fluid were determined using ELISA kits (BioLegend).

Plasma GLP-1 and Hormone Assessment

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
In the first study, plasma was used to determine the concentration of active GLP-1 using ALPCO Diagnostic’s GLP-1 ELISA (Active 7–36) kit (cat # 43-GP1HU-E01, Salem, NH). An EMD Millipore Multiplex MAP kit (cat# MMHMAG-44K St. Louis, MO) was used to assess the concentrations of various hormones including active GLP-1, leptin, and insulin in the second study. The GLP-1 assay used in the first study required plasma, which was collected in tubes containing another DPP-4 inhibitor (Millipore) after thirty minutes after re-feeding following an overnight fast. Fasting plasma was used for GLP-1 and other hormone tests in the second study.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
