Vascular Staining and 2PM Imaging

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
For the validation experiment with 2PM, the mouse was intravenously injected with 150 µL lectin-FITC (Lycopersicon Esculentum (Tomato) Lectin fluorescein, 2 mg/ml, L32478, Invitrogen, USA) to stain the vasculature with a total circulation time of ~3 min. Following the circulation period, the mouse was euthanized while still under anesthesia. Two-photon imaging was conducted on the extracted mouse brain.

Lectin-Based Vascular Labeling in Mice

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
As reported in the literature,35 (link) after anesthesia, fluorescently labeled Ricinus communis agglutinin I (RCA I, L32478, Invitrogen, US) and Lycopersicon esculentum lectin (LEL, L32471, Invitrogen, US) were injected into mice via the tail vein. One hour later, the mice were perfused with saline containing 1% PFA, and the ovary/mesentery-small intestine tissue was removed and quickly cooled in liquid nitrogen. Then, the tissues were sectioned on a frozen section machine and observed under an Olympus confocal microscope. The thickness of the sections was 10 μm.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
