Sst ires cre mice ssttm2.1 cre zjh j

Manufactured by Jackson ImmunoResearch

The SST-IRES-Cre mice (Ssttm2.1(cre)Zjh/J) are a genetically modified mouse strain that expresses Cre recombinase under the control of the somatostatin (Sst) gene promoter. This allows for the selective targeting and manipulation of somatostatin-expressing cells in the mouse model.

Transgenic Mouse Experiments with GCaMP2.2c

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Transgenic mice expressingGCaMP2.2c inL5 pyramidal neurons, Thy1-GCaMP2.2c (ref. 44 (link)), were received from G. Feng. Adeno-associated virus (AAV) experiments were conducted with C57/BL6 mice (Charles River Laboratory) and Thy1-Cre transgenic mice (FVB/N-Tg (Thy1-Cre)1 Vln/J; the Jackson Laboratories). SST-IRES-Cre mice (Ssttm2.1(cre)Zjh/J) and Rosa26-stop-iDTR mice were purchased from the Jackson Laboratories. Mice were housed in the Parasitology Central Animal Facility at New York University Medical Center. All of the 1–1.5-month-old male and female animals were used for the experiments in accordance with the Institutional Guidelines.

In Vivo Imaging of Transgenic Mice

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
The wild-type (WT) C57BL/6 mice and transgenic mice Thy1-YFP in layer 5 pyramidal neurons (H line), Thy1-eGFP in pyramidal neurons (M line), Cx3cr1-GFP mice expressing eGFP in microglia cell (Cx3cr1 tm1Litt /J), and SST-IRES-Cre mice (Sst tm2.1(cre) Zjh /J) were purchased from the Jackson Laboratories. Mice were housed in Bindley Bioscience Center Animal Facility at Purdue University. All the one-or two-months old animal procedures were performed under the institutional guidelines.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
