ATR-FTIR Spectroscopic Characterization

The extracts were analyzed with an ATR-FTIR spectrometer (Nicolet 380, Thermo Scientific, USA) to identify the functional groups (qualitative). FTIR spectra were obtained by scanning with a spectral resolution of 4 cm−1 between 2000 and 1000 cm−1. To assess repeatability, a total of 128 scans per sample were acquired. Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy

The extract was freeze-dried for 48 h and ground into powder. KBr and the extract are mixed evenly and then pressed into thin sheets. The experimental parameters were set to scan 16 times. Subsequently, an FT-IR spectrometer (Thermo Fisher Scientific, Waltham, MA, USA) was used to scan in the wavenumber range of 4000–400 cm−1. The data were assessed using Omnic 9.0 software (OMNICTM Series, Thermo Scientific, USA) once all the spectra were collected.
