Epidemiological Analysis of Adult ADHD

Statistical analysis involved describing, distributing and categorising the study variables. The chi-square test examined the relationships between categorical variables, with a significance set at 5%. The prevalence estimates of the clinic visits for adult ADHD were calculated by dividing the ADHD visits by the total outpatient visits of adults, reported per 1000 visits. Prevalence estimates and 95% confidence intervals (95% CI) were determined using the Poisson distribution, calculated using the GraphPad Prism 6.0 software. Stratification was performed by age, sex, residence, nationality, and level of education. Standardised governorate-specific prevalence estimates used indirect standardisation based on Oman’s 2020 census data.
