TLR9KO mice were kindly provided by Dr. Jillian Poole (University of Nebraska Medical Center) with permission from Shizuo Akira. Mice were housed and bred at the University of Colorado Biological Resource Center and were used at 6-12 weeks of age. All experiments were approved by the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee of the University of Colorado Denver, in accordance with the NIH guidelines.
