Analytical Extraction of Organic Compounds

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Methanol (MeOH)
and acetonitrile (MeCN) of analytical grade were purchased from Panreac
(Castellar del Vallès, Spain). Formic acid (HCOOH), sodium
dihydrogenphosphate (NaH2PO4), and sodium hydroxide
(NaOH), all of analytical grade, were supplied by Merck (Darmstadt,
Germany). Water (18.2 MΩ·cm) was generated using a Milli-Q
purification system from Millipore (Billerica, MA, USA).
The
buffer solution of sodium dihydrogenphosphate (NaH2PO4; 0.1 mol·L–1) used in the treatment
of samples was adjusted to pH 10 with 5 mol·L–1 NaOH. Oasis HLB polymeric cartridges (3 cm3, 60 mg) from
Waters (Milford, MA, USA) were used for solid-phase extraction. Membrane
filters (Ultra free Durapore PVDF 0.22 μm) from Millipore were
used to filter the extract before analysis.

Chromatographic Analysis of Polyphenols

Acetonitrile, formic acid, and methanol (MeOH) were of HPLC-gradient grade and were purchased from Panreac (Barcelona, Spain). The water was treated in a Milli-Q system (Millipore, Milford, MA, USA). Catechin, epiCatechin, Catechin gallate, epiCatechin gallate, procyanidins B1 and B2, myricetin-3-glucoside, myricetin-3-galactoside, querce-tin-3-glucoside, quercetin-3-glucuronide, kaempherol-3-glucoside, kaempherol-3-rutinoside, isorhamnetin-3-glucoside, and isorhamnetin-3-rutinoside were purchased by Extrasynthese (Lyon, France) and gallic, caffeic, ferulic, and coutaric acids were purchased from Aldrich (Munich, Germany).

UHPLC-HRMS Analysis of Pharmaceuticals

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Valsartan and losartan potassium (99% purity) were purchased from Sigma Aldrich.
Iron (II) sulfate heptahydrate (FeSO4.7H2O), potassium phosphate dibasic (K2HPO4), orthophosphoric acid (H3PO4), potassium hydrogen phthalate (C8H5KO4), oxalic acid (C2H2O4) and sodium sulfate (Na2SO4) were analytical grade from Merck. The pH of the solutions was adjusted using chlorhydric acid (HCl, 98% purity). Methanol (MeOH) and acetonitrile (CH3CN) HPLC-grade were obtained from Panreac. All solutions were prepared with ultrapure water produced by a Millipore Milli-Q system with resistivity > 18 MΩ cm at 25 °C, and the experiments were carried out at least by duplicate. For UHPLC-HRMS analysis, HPLC-grade water was obtained by purifying demineralized water using a Milli-Q system from Millipore (Bedford, MA, USA). HPLC-grade methanol and acetonitrile, formic acid, acetone, and sodium hydroxide were acquired from Scharlau. Leucine enkephalin was purchased from Sigma-Aldrich (St. Louis, MO, USA).

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
