Urea, Tin (IV) chloride pentahydrate (SnCl₄·5H₂O, 99.0%), sodium hydroxide (NaOH), and polyethylene glycol 400 (PEG-400) were purchased from Sinopharm Chemical Reagent Co., Ltd. (Beijing, China). All chemicals were used as received without further purification.

The origin herbal drug of LW was purchased from Beijing Tongrentang Co., Ltd. (Beijing, China). LW-AFC is comprised of glycosides, oligosaccharides, and polysaccharides extracted from LW. Details of the extraction of LW-AFC can be seen in [26 ]. We chose indomethacin (≥98%, Ouhe Technology Co., Ltd., Beijing, China) as a compound that has a positive effect on the inflammatory response. Lipopolysaccharides (L2880, Sigma, St. Louis, MO, USA), PEG400 (30150892, Sinopharm Group Chemical Reagent Co., Ltd. Shanghai, China), mouse cytokines/chemokines kit (9MPXMCYTO-70K-06, Merck Millipore, Boston, MA, USA), BD FACS™ Lysing Solution (349202, BD), 4% paraformaldehyde, saline, 75% alcohol, 4% EDTA-Na2, and PBS.

The lekethromycin standard (batch no. D20170101, purity ≥97%) was obtained from Henan Pulike Biological Engineering Co., Ltd (Luoyang, Henan, China). An authentic reference standard of gamithromycin (CAS 145435-72-9, purity ≥97%, internal standard, IS) was purchased from Sigma-Aldrich (St. Louis, MO, USA). LC-MS grade methanol (MeOH), acetonitrile (ACN) and formic acid (FA) (98% purity) were supplied by Fisher Scientific (Pittsburgh, PA, USA). Propylene glycol, PEG400 and dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) were of analytical grade and were purchased from Sinopharm Chemical Reagent Beijing Co., Ltd (Beijing, China). Ultrapure water was obtained from a Millipore Milli-Q purification system (Bedford, MA, USA). Blank rat plasma with EDTA-k2 anticoagulant was centrifuged at 4000× g for 10 min and was stored at −80 °C until analysis.

Rhein (RH) and Baicalin (BCL) were purchased from YuanYe Bio-Technology Co., Ltd (Shanghai, China). Succinic anhydride and PEG₄₀₀ were purchased from Sinopharm Chemical Reagent Co., Ltd, poly(ethylene glycol) monolaurate (PEG₄₀₀-LA) were purchased from YuanYe Bio-Technology Co., Ltd (Shanghai, China). Borneol were purchased from Fujian Green Pine Co., Ltd (Fujian, China). Tert-Butyl hydroperoxide (TBHP) and CoCl₂ were purchased from Sigma-Aldrich (Shanghai, China). Kolliphor^® HS15 and Koliphor^® F68 were offered by BASF Co., Ltd (Shanghai, China). Coumarin 6 (C6) as purchased from Aladdin Biochemical Technology Co., Ltd (Beijing, China) Pluronic^® F127 was bought from Sigma-Aldrich (Shanghai, China). Labrafil M 1944CS was received as a gift from Gattefossé Co., Ltd (Nanterre Cedex, France). Hyaluronic acid (HA, 10 kDa and 400 kDa) were purchased from Shanghai Yien Chemical Technology Co., Ltd (Shanghai, China). HA (800–1500 kDa and 1500–2500 kDa) were provided by Shanghai Maclin Biochemical Technology Co., Ltd (Shanghai, China). Sudan III was purchased from Sinopharm Group Co., Ltd (Shanghai, China). Ultrapure water was acquired via Elix^®Essential system (Millipore, Shanghai, China). Other chemicals were used of analytical grade.

Polyethylene glycols with different number averaged molecular weights—200 g/mol (PEG200), 400 g/mol (PEG400), and 600 g/mol (PEG600)—were purchased from Sinopharm Chemical Reagent Co., Ltd. (Shanghai, China). Pure C. I. Reactive Red 218 (Red 218) for ink preparation was purchased from Yongguang Chemical Industry Co., Ltd. (Taipei, China), and was used without further purification. The chemical structures of the Red 218 and polyethylene glycols are shown in Figure 1. All water used was pure, with a conductivity of 0.9 µS/cm. Cotton fabric (60 × 60/200 × 98) was provided by YuYue Home Textiles Co., Ltd. (Binzhou, China).
